Educational information only
Our calculators and guides provide general estimates for educational purposes. Real-world results depend on your specific appliances, equipment, weather and installation. They are not a substitute for professional advice. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions, local codes and safety warnings. Work involving your home's electrical system, transfer switches or permanent installations should be done by a licensed electrician.
